The html5 is the evolution of html4 and Xhtml, it is a basic language that is used to structure a website during the creation of it, it is a language that must be known for all those who want to become webdeveloper because even if you use tools such as plu-xml or prestashop, you will need the html5 to make changes to your web pages, or optimize the source code for example for SEO. In the html5 the 5 designates the version of the html language, one often finds the couple html5 / css3, the html5 being the language to structure the page (title, paragraph, menu …) and the css3 being the language for the visual aspect ( color, choice of fonts, layout of the elements …) of the site of this fact most people learn to code in html5 and css3 in parallel.
What does a html 5 base page look like?
Let’s go to the serious things, here is what the base page html5 looks like :
Here from top to bottom, we find the doctype tag that indicates the doctype of the document, the html tag that includes all the other tags, the head tag (that’s where we usually put the title tag (title of the site), other tags like the one for the favicon or to point to the css file, and finally the body tag (this is where you usually code your entire web page).
What’s new with html 5?
The html5 comes up with a lot of novelties for example tags like Doctype (the first indigestible line that you copy / paste at the top of each HTML page), thetag, thetag of the encoding of characters, and style sheet and script tags have been simplified.
